Ukrainian legal requirements

In Ukraine, the following requirements must be met before the law allows surrogacy:

Are married heterosexual couples.

At least the father-to-be must contribute his own genetic genes, and it is best that both husband and wife contribute the genetic genes of the future embryo.

The mother-to-be must have a medical certificate that the mother-to-be cannot become pregnant or cannot give birth.

Initiation of surrogacy treatment in Ukraine requires a medical certificate to prove its pathological condition.

If the patient suffers from a serious physical disease that may endanger the patient’s life during pregnancy, but does not endanger the health of the baby, an official medical diagnosis is also required.

Finally, the fact that more than four failed IVF attempts of high-quality embryo transfer are considered medical reasons. These cases must also obtain corresponding certificates issued by the fertility clinic for treatment.
